Business Planning & Training

Business Planning is a strategic function that requires an oversight of resources, skill-sets and experience levels available, capacities, training levels and work types (existing load and anticipated demand). The reporting is done directly to the CEO.

Planning is done in accordance with client needs, keeping in mind the nature of the project, the human resource and skill sets required, work volumes, time-lines applicable, and the duration of the project. The scale-up period is naturally kept in mind; so is the resource that will go in training, mentoring, and Team Lead and other administrative activities. With our experience and the ERP tools that we employ, our projections have, across time, always been very close to our client's requirement. Once a project is implemented, the peaks and troughs of the workload are managed effectively by assuring a constant turnover each day (to make sure that there is no backlog and people are free to accept work due the same day), by reprioritizing work based on due dates, by moving administrative tasks away from the scientists, and by involving the team leader.

Training: New entrants are trained on internal SOP's and IT policies. They are then inducted into general Pharmacovigilance, client's SOP, policies and work processing conventions, and the client's database, if required. Once the classroom training is complete, the new recruits are handed over to experienced mentoring team members who take care of the overall development of the scientists.
